Conference for Kaiako, 9-11 April 2027

A Teachers Conference will be held from 9 to 11 April 2027, hosted by Michael Park School. It's a chance to gather with colleagues from across Aotearoa, learn from one another, and spend time with the ideas and practices at the heart of Steiner Waldorf education.

You don't need to be working in a Steiner school or kindergarten to attend. Any kaiako with an interest in this way of working with tamariki and rangatahi is warmly welcome.

Call for workshop proposals

The conference programme will draw on the knowledge and creativity that already lives within Steiner Waldorf school and kindergarten communities; the organisers are keen to hear from kaiako who have something from their own practice to share. When asked about what kaiako would like to experience in workshops, they have expressed particular interest in artistic and practical skills, curriculum and pedagogy, inclusion and wellbeing, and bringing te ao Māori into the classroom.

You don't need to be an expert to have something worthwhile to offer, and workshops can be proposed together with a colleague.
