The Woven Spirit
The Woven Spirit: Nurturing Spirituality in Young Children Understanding and fostering the spiritual growth of young children from Montessori and Steiner lenses. A thesis by Peihong Wang.
SEANZ deeply values the ongoing commitment of educators to learning and growth. Steiner Waldorf education is not just a profession, it is a lifelong journey, one that nurtures the development of children while inspiring adults to continue their own path of learning, reflection, and self-discovery. It is in this spirit of curiosity and dedication that we are delighted to welcome Peihong Wang’s thesis to our website. Her work offers thoughtful insights into early childhood education and reflects the ongoing journey of growth that Steiner Waldorf education encourages in all of us.
Peihong Wang loved caring for her dolls as a child, and working with young children has since become her lifelong calling and sole profession, guided by a deep commitment to nurturing the spirit of the child. Her teaching draws from both Steiner and Montessori philosophies, supported by a Master of Education (First Class Honours) exploring spirituality in early childhood. She holds a Certificate in Rudolf Steiner Education, an AMI Montessori Diploma, and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (ECE). Peihong strives to be of humble service to the children in her care and is currently pursuing doctoral study to deepen her understanding and continue growing in service to the world of children.
We warmly invite educators, parents, and researchers to explore her thesis and engage with the thoughtful perspectives she offers on early childhood education.
