We warmly invite you to join us for an online hui to discuss the recent changes to the Licensing Criteria that came into effect on 20 April.

As colleagues working within Waekura, we (Traceylee and Margaret) are keen to open a shared space for those in admin, manager, and leadership roles across kindergartens and early childhood centres throughout Aotearoa. This is an opportunity to connect, reflect, and begin a collective conversation about what these changes mean in our contexts, and how we might support one another moving forward.

This will be the first in what we plan to coordinate as a quarterly series of hui, building an ongoing space for connection and shared understanding across the motu.

Our intention is not to present fixed answers, but to foster a collaborative kōrero where experiences, questions, and emerging understandings can be shared. We warmly welcome any questions or areas of focus ahead of time so we can make the most of our time together. Please note that we will be recording the hui to share with those who are unable to attend. You are very welcome to keep your camera off if you prefer.
