Michael Park School is an urban integrated area school offering a seamless Rudolf Steiner/Waldorf education for children aged 3 –18 years. Our kindergarten which is part of the school is located beside a beautiful local park in Ellerslie and is licensed for 80 children across four mixed-age groups (3–6 years).

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Full-Time Permanent Kaiako, commencing Monday, 20 April 2026.

About the Role

You will join a warm and collaborative team of dedicated kaiako providing a nurturing and creative environment for tamariki. Our curriculum is grounded in Steiner/Waldorf principles, supporting children’s natural rhythms, imagination, and holistic development.

About You

We are looking for a kaiako who is:

• Creative, positive, and collaborative

• Fully registered with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand

• Committed to ongoing professional learning, including developing your understanding of Steiner/Waldorf education

Experience in Steiner education is advantageous; however, professional development and support through study of an ECE diploma in Steiner Education is provided.

Remuneration is in accordance with the Area School Teachers’ Collective Agreement (ASCA).
